weekend workshop, chagford
Come and join us for a workshop at the beautiful Barefoot Barn in Chagford on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th May 2017.
working with emotions
SUNDAY SESSION NOW 10am-MIDDAY
This weekend workshop will use as its focus how to work with emotions in life and in practice. It will cover the Tantric inner body Tsa Loong practices working with the chakras based on a text by Lama Yeshe, and also a more direct Dzog Chen approach to working with emotions from the text Flight of the Garuda. Other teachings may be incorporated in response to the group energy.
This weekend workshop is more suitable for intermediate practitioners with significant experience of meditation, although there are no formal prerequisites and if you do not have much experience and are drawn to come you will be welcome.
On Sunday there will be an extended opportunity to ask questions about individual practice and to clarify the teachings given.
Saturday 11am-1pm and 3-5pm
SUNDAY NOW 10am-12pm
It is helpful to attend all sessions as the weekend will build on previous teachings, but if you can only make part of the weekend please do let us know and we will try to accommodate you.
These teachings will take place at the Barefoot Barn, Eaglehurst, Chagford. If you have not been the venue before it is not that easy to find, so please read the detailed driving directions here or for public transport please click here. Please note that parking is very limited and so prioritised for those with limited mobility (please park in the public car park if this does not apply to you and allow 7-8 minutes to walk to the Barn).
Cushions are provided although do bring your own if you prefer. Chairs are also available.
This is primarily a non-residential workshop. However, if you are from out of town and need to stay locally, please contact us for options including onsite camping.
Delicious food is available locally in Chagford, or you are welcome to bring your own. There is a small kitchenette in the Barefoot Barn with a fridge, kettle, hob, oven, cutlery & crockery. A wide variety of teas and coffee are provided on a donation basis.
There is no cost for the teachings, but we ask that you please make a donation of what you can afford. An envelope will be provided when you arrive for you to put your donations in to offer to Lama Lena. A guideline is to offer what you are paid for an hour's work for each hour's teaching. We also welcome voluntary contributions towards the cost of venue hire and the other expenses associated with organising Lama Lena's visit to Devon. Cash is preferred as Lama Lena has no UK bank account.
There is some parking at the venue which is reserved for those with limited mobility. All other participants please park in Chagford town main car park (bring some small change to pay for parking: £3-4 for the whole weekend) and walk 5 mins to the venue.
To give us an idea of numbers, it is helpful if you can let us know you are planning to attend this workshop by contacting Kate or Ben on 01626 830158 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also let us know in advance if you need a parking space. However, if you have left it too late to book and really want to come, please just turn up!
